“LET THERE BE LIGHT”

Light precedes order.

God introduces light before transformation.

Part I: Morning Light

Foundation & Exposition

Genesis 1:1–5

Read slowly.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

2 Corinthians 4:6

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

John 1:1–5

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Exposition

The first recorded command is: “Let there be light.” Before structure, before function, God speaks revelation.
You cannot correct what you refuse to see. The creative act that formed the universe now operates in your heart today.

Morning Declaration

"Light is entering my life."

“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” — Psalm 119:130

"Clarity replaces confusion."

“For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace…” — 1 Corinthians 14:33

"Truth is separating darkness."

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful… and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” — Hebrews 4:12

"I will not fear exposure."

“But he that doeth truth cometh to the light…” — John 3:21

Morning Prayer

Father, speak light into my day. Expose what must be separated and shine truth into my thinking as I begin this journey today.
